A report from the Automotive News shares that Honda is currently considering a new crossover or SUV based on the Accord. This speculative vehicle would be scheduled for 2029, along with the expected visual refresh of the midsize sedan. Honda previewed the technology in two prototype vehicles—a Honda sedan and an Acura SUV—amid its pivot away from its failed EV venture. Should the Accord SUV come to fruition, it will be built in the Japanese automaker’s plant in Ohio. In the Philippines, the midsize sedan has been absent since 2022 after being cut from the local lineup.
