Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) explained that Fauci does not have the right to plead the Fifth Amendment. “You don’t have any rights under the Fifth Amendment because you have been pardoned, as you very well know,” he said. Following Fauci’s invocation of the Fifth Amendment, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) announced that Congress will seek contempt charges. Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times.
