The U.S. economy grew 1.5% in the second quarter, less than expected, according to new data released by the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis.
The indicator represents over two-thirds of the U.S. economic activity and bounced back in the second quarter, clocking in at 3.2% after slowing to 0.5% in the first quarter.
The core PCE, which excludes more volatile components like food and energy, gained 0.1%, less than expected, and clocked in at 3.3%.
U.S. Treasury yields remain near recent highs Thursday as investors digest the interest rate decision.
Bond markets, however, signaled that investors remain less certain about the path back to the central bank's inflation target.
