Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa has called on senior public servants to uphold professionalism, accountability and integrity while accelerating the implementation of government policies. Mr Kangwa charged that public confidence in government depends not only on sound policies but also on professionalism, accountability, transparency and prudent management of public resources by public servants. The Secretary was speaking today at the Seventh Senior Public Service Management meeting held under the theme: “Economic Growth and Future Prospects for Our Country,” in Lusaka. “Through employment creation, poverty reduction and enhanced public service delivery,” he added. The Secretary to the Cabinet explained that sustainable economic growth must translate into improved livelihoods through job creation, poverty reduction and efficient public service delivery.
