Thirteen cases have been registered by the Delhi Police in connection with the NEET (UG) paper leak protests at Jantar Mantar, as of 6 pm on July 29.
The Delhi Government has directed the Delhi Police not to take any adverse legal action against persons involved in the protests, while also ordering an expeditious review of arrests and detentions made in connection with the demonstrations.
Thirteen Cases Registered So FarDelhi Police confirmed that 13 FIRs have been filed in relation to incidents during the protests, with investigations into these cases ongoing.
What Happens NextWith the review of arrests now underway, attention turns to how quickly police act on the government's directive and whether any of the 13 registered cases will be dropped or modified as a result.
The government's order does not affect cases involving persons with prior criminal records, who remain outside the scope of the protection.
