DULUTH — The Duluth Huskies finished off a long homestand by hitting the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters hard early, taking a 12-2 Northwoods League victory at Wade Stadium on Wednesday night. The Huskies filled the basepaths all night, recording 15 hits (five for extra bases) and drawing nine additional walks. Cepeda raised his batting average to .353 on the season, putting him fourth among qualifying Northwoods League players. With the big lead in hand, Huskies pitcher Ben Llewellyn went to work, allowing just one run on five hits over 6 2/3 innings. Hardcastle finished with five RBIs for the Huskies, including another two-run double late.
