We’re also beginning to see real signs of how the industry is shifting towards new best-practice approaches that prioritise carbon management. The ICE has been instrumental in the development and promotion of PAS 2080, so it’s particularly positive to see major projects embracing it. The ICE’s own carbon management plan, which is being delivered in line with PAS 2080 guidance, is also going from strength to strength. It’s a positive sign, indicating that our actions to reduce emissions, for example by improving energy efficiency, are having a positive effect. Members are also becoming standard bearers for PAS 2080 and are sharing their knowledge with others, particularly through the ICE’s Decarbonisation Forum.
