Charity launches compassionate leadership hub to boost workforce wellbeing

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Foundation has today launched its new Centre for Compassionate Leadership in Nursing and Midwifery.
“We’re all about bridging the gap between compassionate leadership theory and day-to-day practice” Rebecca KennyPrevious research has linked compassionate leadership with improved wellbeing for staff, especially for nurses and midwives at the early stages of their careers.
These programmes will be designed together with the organisations to support compassionate leadership that is practical, evidence-informed and that can be delivered in real world settings, said the charity.
In addition, the centre is launching a compassionate leadership collaborate to bring together people with an interest in the area.
“We’re all about bridging the gap between compassionate leadership theory and day-to-day practice,” Ms Kenny said.
