Over almost half a year the huge number of messages were sent from Owen Caris’s phone to customers, advertising the sale of both cocaine and cannabis. Investigators found that potentially more than £130,000 could’ve been generated over the period the phone messages were sent. Caris was found to be arranging drug deals and directing other dealers to street users. The 24-year-old, of Ferndene Grove in Ryton, Gateshead, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis between March and August 2025 at Newcastle Crown Court. On Tuesday (July 28), he was back before the same court, where he was jailed for 32 months
