It was one of two ‘bill dodger’ blows for La Piazza in Yarm in just the last week, with the High Street venue left furious after tables left without paying on July 23 and July 28. The venue, which opened in the former Barclays Bank in July 2025, said the first incident involved a couple who reportedly left without paying their £50 tab. La Piazza, which also has a restaurant in Richmond, said there were no complaints made over the food by either group, leaving them puzzled. La Piazza asked anyone with any information to get in touch - and asked those involved to "do the right thing".
