Officers were called on December 19 last year following reports that Alex Robinson had assaulted his ex-partner at her home in Murton. Two officers attended his house, where they found Robinson, who refused to comply, and threw a wrench at them. Robinson was found in a nearby shed, still carrying the axe, which he threw at the armed officers.
