Redevco has acquired a prime industrial open storage (IOS) site in Widnes, Cheshire, in a £20m deal from an unnamed private investor. The refurbished industrial and office accommodation totals 64,513 sq ft on a 17.30-acre freehold site including 14.34 acres of fully concreted overage land. The property includes three refurbished industrial units, a detached two-storey office building and extensive secure concreted yard space. Jack Stacey, an investment director at the firm, said: “This acquisition demonstrates the continued strength of investor demand for high-quality industrial open- storage assets, particularly those let to exceptional covenants in strategically important locations. “With limited supply of institutional-grade IOS opportunities, assets of this calibre continue to attract significant interest from investors seeking secure income and strong long-term fundamentals.”
