An All-State season by Warrior boys basketball junior Tillman Papcun included a buzzer-beater bank, a 40-point Substate game and a conference title for the team. Papcun’s banked-in 3-pointer at the buzzer lifted Norwalk past Dallas Center-Grimes 48-46 on February 3, highlighting the Warrior boys’ unexpected run to a Little Hawkeye Conference championship. Following the team’s conference-clinching road win at Oskaloosa on February 13, Norwalk coach Aaron Pelzer told KNIA Sports that the players were on cloud nine.
