Coming in at #7 for PCM top sports stories of the 2025-2026 school year is the baseball team advancing to the substate final as they reached their 19th win. The Mustangs started off their substate play defeating Woodward-Granger and then defeated Van Meter in their substate semifinal game to advance to the substate final. PCM ultimately fell to Beckman Catholic in the substate final but ended the year with 19 wins under second year head coach Brent Fridley. PCM’s 19 wins is ten more wins than they had a year ago and they also finished with a 10-6 mark in conference play. The Mustangs will graduate seven seniors.
