Oakland Roots pay fees to play at Coliseum Saturday, but still owe rent

The Oakland Roots have cleared a major hurdle and will take the field at the Coliseum this Saturday.
But the club still owes more than $1.4 million dollars in unpaid rent, and whether they'll play the rest of their home schedule remains an open question.
"I would say if you ever thought about going to a Roots game, now is the time to do it," Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert said.
The roots must pay for each home game in advance or they don't play.
"We recognize if they don't play, they can't pay.
