Towards the start of April, we reported that Marc Preedy had left Goodyear after 17 years. The latest news is that, effective July 2026, he has become commercial director of Halfords Commercial Fleet Services. Commenting on his appointment, Preedy wrote: “After a very refreshing break, batteries fully recharged, and enjoying a little too much sun, I am delighted to announce that I’ve started a new role…Very much looking forward to working with our wonderful teams across the UK and reacquainting myself with customers, suppliers and key partners alike”. Preedy joined the tyre industry in September 2009 when he became Goodyear Customer Strategy Manager. Preedy became director of Commercial Tyres UK and Ireland in 2011, before ultimately rising to the role of Managing Director, Truck Replacement Sales, Europe at Goodyear.
