In a further expansion beyond its French heartlands, wine importer Champagnes & Châteaux has struck an agreement to distribute Brokenwood Wines in the UK, beginning 1 August. Brokenwood Wines, founded in 1970, now fills an Australian niche in the selection. The UK wine trade will have an early chance to explore the range at Champagnes & Châteaux’s portfolio tasting in London on 9 September. Nathan Hughes, the global sales manager at Brokenwood Wines, will be in attendance. Managing director Charles Taverner, himself appointed less than one year ago, sees Brokenwood wines fitting into the growth-oriented importer.
