Two individuals were transported to the University of Iowa Hospital after a two-vehicle collision near Riverside on Wednesday afternoon. At approximately 1:19 p.m. a crash between an SUV and pickup truck was reported to the Washington County Communications Center. During this time a 2018 GMC Canyon driven by Thomas Fay of Riverside was traveling eastbound on Highway 22 and both vehicles were approaching Commercial Drive near Riverside. Both Luchman and Fay were transported to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics for treatment by the Washington County Ambulance. Assisting the Washington County Sheriff’s personnel at the scene were Riverside Fire Department, Kalona Fire Department, and Washington County Ambulance.
