Sigourney softball infielder Ella Bruns brought the lumber in the Savage lineup this season. The sophomore ranks in the top 10 in Class 1A in a pair of offensive categories. Bruns struck out just twice in the entire campaign, the fewest in the South Iowa Cedar League and third fewest in Class 1A. Bruns ended the season with a .500 average at the plate, third highest in the SICL and ninth best in Class 1A. Along with those numbers, Bruns had a .566OBP, .606slug, 1.172OPS, 33 total hits, 18 runs scored, 16RBI and 10 walks.
