Idris Elba is investing about $1 million to give nearly 100,000 African creators access to cutting-edge AI resources as part of a calculated effort to strengthen the continent’s creative economy. The program will give creators in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, and Sierra Leone access to Google’s Gemini AI assistant and other AI-powered tools. The technology initiative adds to a host of creative infrastructure projects Elba is leading across the continent.
