The GOP-led committee had planned to vote Thursday on whether to send Blanche’s nomination to the full Senate. “Chairman Grassley works to set President Trump’s nominees up for success in committee, not failure,” a committee spokesperson said. Blanche previously served as Trump’s personal defense attorney and became acting attorney general after Trump fired Pam Bondi in April.
