Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – Puerto Vallarta’s Civil Protection and Fire Department is reinforcing beach safety efforts after lifeguards completed at least 11 aquatic rescues since the start of the summer vacation season, highlighting the importance of following posted warnings and lifeguard instructions.
The second half of July has brought a steady increase in visitors to Puerto Vallarta, with many travelers arriving from Guadalajara, Monterrey, Mexico City, and cities throughout the Bajío region.
Authorities emphasized that even when the ocean appears calm, hidden currents and sudden changes in wave conditions can create dangerous situations for swimmers who are unfamiliar with local conditions.
Officials noted that these simple precautions can help ensure residents and visitors alike enjoy Puerto Vallarta’s beaches safely throughout the summer.
