Coming into the 2026 Formula 1 season, expectations were quite high for Williams. There were expectations of exiting the midfield and entering the top tier of teams and potentially even competing for the championship. However, things have gone horribly wrong right from the first day of preseason testing in January. However, team principal James Vowles also placed plenty of public focus on the 2026 season for Williams as early as 2024. While the Williams team boss is not in immediate danger of losing his job, the pressure is starting to build and will continue to do so if things do not improve to close out the 2026 season.
