Kano Governor Reaffirms Commitment To N1.05trn Rail Project

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has reaffirmed the Kano State Government’s commitment to the successful delivery of the ₦1.05 trillion Kano light rail project following a meeting with a Federal Government delegation and project contractors ahead of the official groundbreaking ceremony.

Governor Yusuf assured the delegation of his full cooperation with the Federal Government and the contractors to ensure timely and successful execution of the project.
The Governor expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for approving the project, describing it as a major milestone in the state’s infrastructure development.
The groundbreaking ceremony is expected to mark the commencement of one of Nigeria’s most ambitious urban rail infrastructure projects, aimed at enhancing mobility and driving sustainable economic growth in Kano State.
