Srinagar: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir on Thursday arrested a Punjab-based drug peddler and recovered 100 grams of heroin from him at Lasjan, Nowgam. During the operation, 100 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession. The contraband was tested on the spot using a Drug Detection Kit and tested positive for heroin. 13 of 2026 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station ANTF Kashmir. ANTF Kashmir said the arrest is part of its sustained drive against drug trafficking and interstate narcotics networks, aimed at preventing the flow of drugs into the Valley.
