The MPs demanded a response from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, chanting "Amit Shah jawab Do" and “Amit Shah Sadan mein aao," following which the Speaker adjourned the House till 2 pm. When the Lok Sabha resumed at 2pm, the opposition was even more vehement over the Home Minister's absence. In the Rajya Sabha also, the Opposition raised Amit Shah's absence and demanded a statement.
