I have a “new in the box” 30 year old Delta AP400 dust collector. Is it worth investing approximately $500 to upgrade it with a 1 micron canister filter and a cyclone separator? I run one machine at a time and will connect each as needed via short 4 inch hose run. I will continue to use my Bosch dust extractor for portable tools (tracksaw, sanders ect). The alternative would be to get a larger 1200 cfm portable collector with a cyclone separator and canister filter built in, but these seem to cost about $2k.
