Roads gone, buildings destroyed from flash flooding in Schodack

Flooding in Schodack left roads washed out, buildings destroyed and residents cut off after intense rain across the Capital Region. NewsChannel 13’s Ally Hoy reported from Muitzeskill Road in the Castleton-on-Hudson area, where a former Rensselaer County art studio was destroyed. A man who lives in the neighborhood told NewsChannel 13 the building was used periodically and was not anyone’s permanent home. The gentleman at the scene also told NewsChannel 13 the river behind Hoy is usually about a quarter full. NewsChannel 13 will continue tracking damage across other parts of the Capital Region.
