Warm greetings from the Smiling Coast of Africa. It is my pleasure to present the achievements and milestones highlighted in this report, which reflect the collective efforts of the Government of The Gambia, health workers, communities, partners, and the World Health Organization in advancing the health and well-being of all Gambians. The results presented across these strategic priorities demonstrate a shared commitment to building a health system that is not only accessible and responsive, but also resilient and prepared to meet the evolving needs of the population. From strengthening primary healthcare and improving the quality and safety of services, to protecting communities from health threats and supporting evidence-informed policies, these efforts are contributing to a stronger foundation for Universal Health Coverage.
