Every Spider-Man Villain Who Showed up in ‘Brand New Day’ (And Who’s Secretly Pulling the Strings)

Comic Basics
With the film’s comic-accurate “Brand New Day” era as inspiration, expectations were high for a story overflowing with familiar faces from Peter Parker’s rogues gallery.
That comic book era, made famous for throwing Spider-Man into a relentless rotation of street-level threats while he rebuilt his life from scratch, gave director Destin Daniel Cretton plenty of material to pull from.
True to that inspiration, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ opens with Peter narrating a montage of his years spent fighting crime alone, giving the film an early excuse to parade multiple villains across the screen in quick succession.
That opening sequence alone features Scorpion, Tombstone, Ramrod, Tarantula, Boomerang, and The Hand, with several of the shots recreating classic comic book covers as a nod to longtime readers.
Which Spider-Man: Brand New Day villain deserves a bigger role in the future?
