ComEd says most power in Chicago area restored as thousands remain in the dark

ComEd said more than half a million customers lost power across northern Illinois, and in the first 36 hours, crews restored power to more than 85% of them.
However, there are still pockets all over the Chicago area where homes and businesses don't have power.

The company said Monday's severe storms were the 16th major weather event affecting ComEd customers this year, the highest number in two decades.
