Councillor Bruce Craze, who represents Four Lanes, Beacon, and Troon, has become the eighth Reform UK member to leave the group since last year’s local elections.
Responding to the latest change, Councillor Martyn Alvey, deputy leader of the Conservative group, said the repeated departures were having a visible impact on council business.
"We may run a sweepstake on which Reform councillor will be next to go."
Councillor Rob Parsonage, who previously left Reform UK himself, said the pattern of resignations pointed to deeper issues within the group.
Reform UK entered Cornwall Council as its largest group following the 2025 elections, but has since seen a series of resignations and defections.
