Seasonably warm Thursday, followed by a rainy, cooler Friday

The good news is that it’s primarily in the mid to upper levels of the atmosphere.
Temperatures will remain seasonably warm with light winds Thursday, under an increasingly cloudy sky ahead of a wave of low pressure that will bring promising rain chances for most of us Friday.
That slow-moving wave of low pressure will track across the Upper Midwest Friday, centered to our south.
There is likely to be areas of heavy rain with this system, but exactly where the heaviest rain sets up is still very uncertain.
Rainfall totals across North Iowa could easily top 1″, even approaching 2″, while totals closer to Rochester might only be a fraction of that.
