Heritage Line’s Upper Mekong ship, Anouvong, will return to Laos on 31 July after an extensive redesign, and offering new itineraries. “Heritage Line ‘Anouvong’ has always celebrated the beauty of the Upper Mekong, and with this refurbishment we wanted to deepen that connection by drawing even greater inspiration from Laos itself,” Heritage Line director of sales and marketing Andreas Schroetter said. “Our hope is that guests come away not only with memories of a beautiful journey, but with a real appreciation for the culture, heritage, and communities that make the Upper Mekong so distinctive.” One of the key changes is Anouvong’s renewed exterior, which introduces a new visual identity inspired by the architecture and cultural heritage of Laos. Heritage Line renamed the former ‘Nam Khan’ Signature Suite in the vessel to ‘Anouvong,’ establishing a closer connection to the ship’s identity and the historical figure it honours, King Chao Anouvong.
