Each year the IETF Community Survey provides a comprehensive assessment of community demographics, engagement patterns, and perceptions of organizational effectiveness. These functions and further details on how the IETF LLC should operate, are set out in RFC 8711, part of BCP 101. Community Support, a team of four, led by the Senior Director of Community Support (Cindy Morgan). The Meetings and Events team and Community Support team together make up the IETF Secretariat and this split into two distinct teams is the result of a restructuring following the recent insourcing. Beyond this, the IETF LLC is considering a new full-time fundraising role to both fill a part-time vacancy and provide a greater focus to fundraising.
