GERMANY has reaffirmed its commitment to Fiji and the wider Pacific with new Ambassador, Nicole Menzenbach, pledging to strengthen cooperation on climate action, education, trade and community development. Menzenbach said it was an honour to serve as Germany’s Ambassador to Fiji. “I look forward to strengthening our partnership with Fiji and the wider Pacific,” she said. She reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to working with Pacific countries to address climate change and promote an ocean of peace across the region. Before taking up her role in Fiji, Menzenbach served as Germany’s Ambassador to New Zealand from 2022.
