India’s role in Israel’s warHis comment, intended as a diplomatic compliment, has acquired a deeper significance following the publication of a 42-page Amnesty International investigation, which provides the most detailed public reconstruction yet of India’s role in Israel’s wartime defence supply chain. It became an increasingly important upstream supplier in the industrial ecosystem that sustains Israel’s defence production. According to the report, many were shipped to three of Israel’s largest defence companies, namely Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), and Rafael Advanced Defence Systems. Over time, India became not merely a customer but an integral part of Israel’s defence manufacturing network. At the other end are the three pillars of Israel’s defence industry: Elbit Systems, IAI, and Rafael Advanced Defence Systems.
