FARGO — A free, public concert called Songs of Peace & Hope will be held Sunday, Aug. 2, at Broadway Square in Fargo.
The event, organized by musician Merrill Piepkorn and the Fargo-Moorhead Unitarian Universalist Church, features regional acts singing songs about love, fellowship, social justice and civic engagement.
ADVERTISEMENTMusic starts at 2 p.m. with performances from Piepkorn, Pat Lenertz, Gina Powers, Darrin Wentz, The Cropdusters, Gregg Temple, The Fourfeathers, Justice for Stringbean, Melissa Niemi, Jeff Johnson, Michael Carbone and the FM Timekeepers, Norden Quartet, Charley & Mary Johnson and Lanny Faleide.
The event will also feature nonpartisan/nonprofit community organizations with informational tables to educate about voting, contacting elected officials, public policy and opportunities for civic participation.
