1 in 4 children in DFW face hunger daily. Yesterday, the North Texas Food Bank and the Tarrant Area Food Bank shared local findings from Feeding America’s annual Map the Meal Gap study. The results tell a tale of just how hungry the region and state’s most vulnerable populations are. North Texas ranks fourth in the U.S. for people experiencing hunger, and 1 in 4 children in the region are food insecure. Statewide, 6.06 million people face hunger daily, up from 5.4 million last year.
