Around 1.13 billion people used Prague’s public transport system in 2025, an increase of approximately 26.2 million compared with the previous year, according to figures released this week. The metro and trams were the most widely used modes of transport in the Czech capital. Prague’s public transport vehicles, including rail services, covered a total of 212.1 million kilometres last year, 1.5 million more than in 2024. The total cost of running the service was CZK 27.7 billion, a year-on-year increase of CZK 900 million.
