DillaNext, one of Georgia’s most influential artists, returns with a four-track EP that transforms memory, recovery, and maturity into a ritual. His latest EP, Titrebi (‘Credits’) — a four-track record accompanied by a 10-minute film by 25-year-old Erekle Khelashvili — comes after years of few releases. By the time the EP reaches the titular track ‘Titrebi’, the city that runs through much of Jishkariani’s work becomes literal. The final track, ‘Titrebi #2’, turns closure into a physical ritual. Titrebi does not attempt to make one coherent story out of the many phases of life DillaNext has experienced.
