The incident took place on Llanthewy Road at around 4.40am on Sunday, July 26. One has since been discharged, while the other two remain in hospital in stable condition. The 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, while the 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "Gwent Police has arrested two people in connection with a collision that took place on Llanthewy Road, Newport, at around 4.40am on Sunday 26 July. "Yesterday, officers arrested a 19-year-old man from Newport on suspicion of section 18 - causing grievous bodily harm with intent and a 20-year-old Newport woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.
