An Alabama Crimson Tide legend is going to be on the sidelines at John Carroll High School in Birmingham this season. “Some of the same energy that my high school coach gave me. “They’re a family,” Richardson said of why he is coming to John Carroll. Originally from Florida, Richardson came to Alabama and had one of the most decorated careers for a running back in Alabama history, helping the Tide win national titles in 2009 and 2011. Richardson was also named SEC Offensive Player of the Year in 2011 to finish third in Heisman voting.
