The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has launched the National Labour Migration Readiness Campaign to promote safe, regular and orderly migration among Ghanaian youth seeking employment opportunities abroad.
The campaign is aimed at equipping prospective migrants with the right information, guidance and support to avoid irregular migration routes while accessing credible international job opportunities through the YEA Work-Abroad Programme.
The Work-Abroad Programme is designed to connect Ghanaian jobseekers to international employment, internships and skills development opportunities while ensuring their safe and legal deployment.
Through the initiative, the YEA collaborates with relevant government institutions, Ghanaian missions abroad, foreign missions in Ghana and international employers to process manpower requests and facilitate employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled Ghanaian youth.
The Work-Abroad Programme operates through three key stages: deployment, employment contract monitoring, and return and reintegration.
