Forbes reported that Bar Fortuna will focus on handmade pasta, farmers-market plates, Italian-style cocktails and a wine list curated by specialist J.D. Jose Morales, Bornemann’s longtime sous chef, is expected to serve as chef de cuisine at Bar Fortuna, according to the Forbes account. Bornemann, a Santa Monica native, opened Crudo e Nudo in 2021.
