Aden – The Supreme Military Authority for the Southern Army and Security organized a massive march and protest rally on Thursday in front of the gates of Al-Ma’ashiq Palace in the capital Aden, denouncing what it described as “guardianship” and a “war of services.” Protesters chanted slogans rejecting economic collapse and demanding urgent improvements in essential services, while reaffirming their support for the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council. Placards at the rally read: “No work without salary, no life without income,” “The new customs tariff is catastrophic,” and “Salary is not a grant.” Other banners rejected external guardianship and renewed the popular mandate for President Aidarous al-Zubaidi to lead the next phase. The Supreme Military Authority reaffirmed its delegation of authority to President Aidarous al-Zubaidi, head of the Southern Transitional Council, empowering him to take necessary measures to safeguard southern interests and improve living conditions.
