PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — The Portsmouth City Health Department will hold a back-to-school event at Bannon Park next week, offering free school physicals, vaccinations and health screenings ahead of the new academic year, the department said in a social media post. Services offered at the event will include school physicals, vaccinations for students in grades seven through 12, and A1c and lipid testing, the health department said. The health department, located at 605 Washington St., offers a sliding fee scale for uninsured residents, with discounts of up to 40% available with proof of income, according to the department.
