Lebanon High School grad Blake de Pastino is one of the hosts on PBS’s docuseries “Eons: Life and Death on Pangea,” now streaming on WQED+ and airing its first episode at 7:30 a.m. Saturday on linear WQED-TV. Making “Life and Death on Pangea” led de Pastino to think about his formative years in Pittsburgh. “It was important that we not pitch this show to dinosaur nerds,” de Pastino said of the original online “Eons” shorts. “And that’s what I wanted ‘Eons’ to be: The ‘Cosmos’ of natural history.” ‘Whiskey Rebellion’WQED-TV will air a half-hour documentary “The Whiskey Rebellion,” produced by WPSU-TV in State College, at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2, 4 p.m. Aug. 4 and 11 p.m. Aug. 6.
