Niel Mathewson always admired Cullaloe – a stunning Georgian manor near Burntisland he often drove past while growing up in Fife. In 1963, Niel and Carolyn moved into the spacious mansion, set on over 240 acres of sweeping gardens and farmland, with their three young children. After moving in, they immediately set about expanding the house by adding on two wings. Georgian Burntisland house made B-listed propertyCullaloe, boasting a fine Georgian façade designed by James Gillespie Graham, has since been made a B-listed property. In addition to its garden, there is 162 acres of farmland and 68 acres of native woodland, much of which was planted by Niel.
