This film shows some of the land which could be covered in solar panels if plans for the UK’s biggest solar farm are approved between Perth and Dundee. Global renewables firm Aukera is proposing a 500 megawatt (MW) solar farm on agricultural land between Errol, Inchture and Rait. The solar farm and associated works would be visible across the Carse, as well as North Fife and parts of Dundee. And as a statutory consultee, it could trigger a public local inquiry if it objects. The proposed development would dwarf the biggest operational solar farm in the UK, which is currently at Cleve Hill in Kent.
